What is NursingEdAI?
NursingEdAI is an AI content generator for nursing faculty. It creates NCLEX-style quiz questions, interactive practice quizzes, unfolding case studies, and lecture slide decks. Unlike ChatGPT, it has nursing education standards built in: balanced answer distributions across A/B/C/D, drug naming conventions (generic first, brand in parentheses), and scope-of-practice guardrails that know the difference between RN and ACNP practice.
Who created NursingEdAI?
NursingEdAI was created by Paul Logan, PhD, CRNP — AG-ACNP Program Director at Saint Joseph’s University and a practicing cardiology NP at WellSpan Cardiology. A University of Pennsylvania graduate (1994) and one of the first ACNPs in the country, he built NursingEdAI using the same clinical standards and pedagogical structure he applies in his own graduate courses. It reflects 30+ years of advanced practice education experience.
How much does NursingEdAI cost?
NursingEdAI starts with a free 14-day trial — no credit card required. After that: $25/month, $75/semester (4 months, aligned with the academic calendar), or $200/year. All plans include all four content generators, unlimited generations, unlimited refinements, and all export formats. Institutional licensing available for programs that want to cover multiple faculty.
What types of content can NursingEdAI create?
NursingEdAI includes four content generators. The Quiz & Exam Generator creates 5-50 NCLEX-style multiple-choice questions with detailed rationales, exportable as DOCX, PDF, or ExamSoft format. The Interactive Practice Quiz Generator produces self-contained HTML files students open in any browser for self-study with instant feedback and scoring. The Unfolding Case Study Generator creates 4-6 part patient scenarios with branching decisions and realistic clinical consequences. The Lecture Slide Generator produces complete PPTX presentations with learning objectives, content slides, and summaries.
Is NursingEdAI accurate for clinical content?
NursingEdAI uses the RICCE prompt framework to structure content against current clinical practice guidelines — ACC/AHA, ANCC, AANPCB, and NCLEX-RN Next Generation standards as appropriate. It was built by Paul Logan, PhD, CRNP — AG-ACNP Program Director at Saint Joseph's University, active practice at WellSpan Cardiology. The clinical standards in the tool are the ones he applies in his own courses. That said, faculty should review generated content before distributing to students — same standard you'd apply to any purchased question bank.
Can NursingEdAI create NCLEX-style questions?
Yes. The Quiz & Exam Generator creates NCLEX-style multiple-choice questions targeting Bloom's taxonomy levels 3-5 (application, analysis, synthesis). Each question features a clinical scenario stem, four plausible answer options, identification of the correct answer, and a detailed rationale explaining why the correct answer is right and why each distractor is wrong. Answer distribution is automatically balanced so no single position is overrepresented.
How does NursingEdAI ensure answer distribution is fair?
NursingEdAI runs automatic answer distribution analysis on every generated quiz. Correct answers are distributed evenly across A, B, C, and D with a maximum variance of 1 question per position. No single position exceeds 30% of total questions, and the system checks for answer clustering (no 5+ consecutive same-position answers). If the distribution is unbalanced, NursingEdAI auto-corrects up to 3 times before delivering the final output.
Can my nursing program get an institutional license?
Yes. NursingEdAI offers institutional licensing for nursing programs that want to provide access to multiple faculty members under a single account. Contact support@JPLgrp.com for volume pricing and institutional account setup.
How is NursingEdAI different from using ChatGPT directly?
NursingEdAI is purpose-built for nursing education. It automatically balances answer distributions across A/B/C/D, enforces USAN drug naming conventions, targets Bloom's taxonomy levels 3–5, and runs a three-phase self-correction process on every output. It produces downloadable files in DOCX, PDF, ExamSoft, HTML, and PPTX. Refinements are free and unlimited — describe changes in plain English.
Using ChatGPT directly requires significant prompt engineering to approach this quality, and you still get no export features, no distribution analysis, and no built-in quality controls.
What is the Activity Engine?
The Activity Engine is NursingEdAI’s interactive learning tool for real-time classroom and online teaching. It generates six activity types: prescription critique, serial data interpretation, diagnostic budget, medication reconciliation, clinical sequence, and escape room. Faculty set the clinical topic, academic level, and context notes — the engine handles all pedagogical design. Activities run in a shared browser session with optional anonymous student tracking.
Does NursingEdAI work for pre-licensure programs?
Yes. The Activity Engine supports ADN, BSN, ABSN, and DEMSN programs in addition to all five graduate NP tracks. Faculty select the academic level when generating activities, and the engine adjusts scope of practice, pharmacology authority, and clinical complexity accordingly. Faculty context notes let you add program-specific details that shape the output.
What happens when my free trial ends?
At the end of your 14-day trial, your account pauses and no content can be generated until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted — your account history and any saved settings remain. Subscribe at any point to resume. Monthly ($25), semester ($75), and annual ($200) plans are available. No commitment required.
Can I get generated content into Canvas, Blackboard, or my LMS?
Yes. Quiz and exam content exports as QTI ZIP for direct Canvas import. DOCX files upload to any LMS as traditional assignments. Interactive practice quizzes export as self-contained HTML files students open in any browser — no LMS integration required. PowerPoint slides upload directly. ExamSoft export is also available for institutions using that platform.
Is my data secure?
Uploaded materials are processed in memory and never stored. Your content is not used for AI training. Generated content is delivered to your browser and not saved after your session — download your files before closing. NursingEdAI uses Anthropic's Claude AI, which does not train on user inputs.
